Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Management

• Lead and manage the Compliance Monitoring and Financial Crime Investigations team, fostering the culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Allocate workloads and priorities effectively, coach and mentor team members, provide performance feedback
• Develop and implement team goals, KPIs, work plans

Compliance Monitoring

• Design, implement, and manage the firm’s risk-based compliance monitoring programme
• Oversee monitoring reviews, identify control weaknesses and recommend corrective actions
• Report key findings to senior management and committees, and oversee remediation plans and follow-up actions

Financial Crime Investigations

• Oversee timely investigations, documentation and reporting into suspected money laundering, fraud, and other financial crimes
• Support the Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) process, ensure quality and regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate records.
• Recommend new ML/TF typologies to be implemented into monitoring tools and merchant review processes
• Conduct case study training

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Legal, Risk, Audit, Operations) to promote compliance and mitigate risks
• Represent the department in audits, inspections, and complex issue escalations
• Contribute to internal and external audit readiness and support regulatory inspections

Policy and Regulatory Adherence

• Keep abreast of regulatory developments and evolving best practices in compliance and financial crime
• Provide guidance on compliance and financial crime matters to business units
• Support the development and enhancement of policies, procedures, and training materials
  
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience in compliance monitoring, AML investigations, or financial crime prevention, preferably in fintech environment
• Previous leadership or management experience within a compliance or investigations function
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, AML frameworks, and SAR processes
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams, balance priorities, and deliver under pressure
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance best practices
• Fluent proficiency in English
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and drive continuous improvement

Preferrable to have:

• ACAMS certification is a plus

Salary Range: 3200- 5800 EUR Gross/month
