Responsibilities

• Perform website screenings to ensure compliance with regulatory, payment system, and company requirements
• Test and assess onboarding processes from risk and operational perspectives
• Prepare risk assessments and support onboarding decisions, escalating red flags to relevant departments (e.g., MLRO, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Fraud), and maintain detailed records to support audits, reporting, and internal reviews
• Monitor industry and regional risk trends, contributing to process improvements by identifying gaps or inconsistencies
• Handle complex or high-risk cases involving fraud patterns, chargebacks, or unusual ownership structures
• Use available tools and external sources to assess merchant legitimacy, transparency, and compliance
• Support daily team operations, participate in working groups or committees, and assist with ad hoc tasks as needed
• Participate in the assessment and comparison of external solutions to enhance the merchant evaluation workflow
• Support the implementation and testing of new tools and features, ensuring their successful onboarding into the company’s operational environment

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in fintech, PSP, acquiring, or financial services, ideally in merchant onboarding, compliance, risk, or fraud
• Solid understanding of AML, KYC, and regulatory requirements relevant to payment systems and merchant acquiring
• Familiarity with payment industry risks, including fraud patterns, chargebacks, and high-risk business models
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication
• Proficiency in English, Latvian and Russian
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range: 2000- 3000 EUR Gross/month
