Global APM Business Leader

As the Global APM Business Leader, you are the strategic owner and commercial driver for our entire APM portfolio worldwide. This is a senior, high-impact role, responsible for defining the vision, building the business case, and orchestrating the execution of our APM strategy to fuel our global expansion.
You will operate as the central authority for APMs in the business, leading through subject matter expertise and commercial acumen. You will provide clear strategic direction, leveraging the Payment Partnerships team to execute on partnership operations and bring your vision to life.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Ownership & Product Alignment: You will develop, own, and be fully accountable for the one-year APM business case and strategic plan, with a clear focus on supporting our global expansion goals. You'll work in close alignment with the Chief Product Officer (CPO) to ensure the global APM roadmap is integrated with our core product vision
- Global APM Strategy & Market Expansion: You will define and drive the execution of our global APM strategy. This includes analyzing international market trends to prioritize new countries, identifying the key local APMs required for successful market entry, and creating a scalable framework that complements our card priorities
- Commercial Management & P&L Responsibility: You will lead the evaluation of new global and regional APM partners and payment capabilities, building robust financial models to justify investment. Critically, you will retain full P&L responsibility for each APM partnership, tracking performance against market entry targets and ensuring long-term profitability
- Cross-Functional Leadership & Enablement: You will act as the strategic leader and subject matter expert for APMs across the business. You will provide clear direction, commercial guidance, and priorities to the Payment Partnerships team, enabling them to execute effectively on partner sourcing, negotiation, and onboarding
- Sales Collaboration & Pipeline Management: In tight cooperation with our global New Business and Existing Business sales teams, you will ensure a clear, healthy, and up-to-date APM pipeline. You will be the commercial champion for APMs, enabling our sales teams to succeed as we enter new countries
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in the international payments industry, specifically within merchant acquiring, payment gateways, or a major APM provider with a global footprint
- Deep knowledge of the global APM landscape, with significant expertise in key growth regions such as APAC, LATAM, and North America
- A proven track record of developing and executing commercial strategies for international market entry and expansion
- Strong experience with P&L management, financial modeling, and building data-driven business cases for new initiatives
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels without direct managerial authority
- Exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills, with experience managing C-level stakeholders across different cultures and time zones
- Experience navigating the complexities of launching payment products in new international markets, including regulatory and compliance considerations
